Making science
the future of innovation

Since the end of 2013, Sayens has been a leading trusted local stakeholder, supported by the collective commitment of its shareholding research institutions, and has access to the skills and innovations of 6,500 researchers and 4,000 doctoral students from 140 public research laboratories spread across the Burgundy-Franche-Comté and Grand Est regions (Lorraine and South Champagne-Ardenne; Troyes).

The SATTs, Sociétés d’Accélération du Transfert de Technologies, are simplified joint stock companies created by public research institutions thanks to the Programme Investissements d’Avenir (PIA). Their mission is to maximize the socio-economic impact of academic research results and to promote job creation in France by facilitating and accelerating the transfer of technology and knowledge from public research to companies and socio-economic players of all sizes.

Sayens develops links between public research in its region and the business world. On the one hand, we work alongside researchers to ensure that their work finds outlets within companies and the economic world. On the other hand, we promote access for companies to the innovations, expertise and equipment of the academic laboratories in our area.

With nearly 116 employees*, Sayens relies on teams of experts in technology transfer, R&D and innovation (intellectual property, technologies, project management, marketing and business development, legal) committed to working alongside researchers and companies during all stages of their R&D or technology transfer projects
